Why 1st Alliance Does Not Bill Insurance & How That Helps Customers Get Equipment Faster

When people see the words “No insurance accepted,” they may assume something important is missing.

At 1st Alliance Care Solutions, our private-pay model was intentionally designed to remove several obstacles that can stand between customers and the equipment they need.

During this phase of our business, 1st Alliance does not submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial insurance companies. Customers and organizations purchase or rent available equipment directly.

That means no insurance verification, no claim submission, and no prior authorization through 1st Alliance.

Not Every Need Fits Insurance Requirements

Insurance can be valuable, especially when someone needs expensive equipment for an extended period. However, it does not always address every real-life situation.

Someone may need a transport chair for an upcoming family event. A caregiver may need a rollator while a parent is temporarily staying with them. A person recovering from an injury may need a knee scooter for several weeks. A residential community, church, nonprofit, or healthcare organization may need equipment for a short-term program.

The equipment may be useful, but the situation may not qualify for insurance coverage. In other cases, coverage may be available, but the customer cannot—or does not want to—wait through the claims process.

Private-pay medical equipment provides another option.

What Our Private-Pay Model Offers

Clear Pricing

Customers know the rental or purchase price before making a decision. They do not have to wait for a claim to be processed to determine what may be covered.

Faster Access to Available Equipment

When appropriate equipment is in stock, the transaction is not delayed by insurance verification or prior authorization.

Inventory, fitting, delivery, and safety considerations still matter, but insurance approval is not one of the steps required by 1st Alliance.

More Personal Choice

Insurance plans may restrict coverage to certain products, features, replacement schedules, or approved suppliers. Private-pay customers can consider their lifestyle, comfort, preferences, budget, and intended use.

Rental Flexibility

Purchasing equipment is not always the best choice. When an item is only needed temporarily, renting may be more practical and affordable.

Options for Organizations

Healthcare facilities, residential communities, churches, nonprofits, employers, and other organizations may need equipment without submitting an insurance claim for an individual patient. Direct rental and purchasing can provide a simpler solution.

Helping Family Caregivers Make Quick Decisions

Caregivers are often asked to prepare with very little notice. A hospital discharge may be approaching, a parent’s mobility may change, or an upcoming trip may reveal the need for additional support.

Caregivers need straightforward answers:

  • What equipment is available?

  • Should we rent or purchase?

  • Will it fit the person and the home?

  • What will it cost?

  • How soon can it be ready?

Our goal is to make those decisions less overwhelming by offering clear information and practical options.

We Are Not Against Insurance

Choosing a private-pay model does not mean insurance is unnecessary. Customers may still want to explore their benefits through an enrolled provider, particularly for long-term or higher-cost equipment.

1st Alliance simply provides another path when insurance is unavailable, unnecessary, restrictive, or too slow for an immediate situation.

1st Alliance Care Solutions offers private-pay medical equipment sales and short-term rentals for individuals, families, caregivers, and organizations in Kentwood, Tangipahoa Parish, and surrounding Louisiana communities.

No insurance claim. No prior authorization through us. Just clear options, personal guidance, and equipment selected around the customer’s needs.
