Clarity Backed by Equipment Expertise
Do I need a prescription to purchase or rent medical equipment?
Many everyday mobility and home-care products can be purchased or rented without a prescription. Certain equipment may require a prescription or additional documentation based on the type of item and applicable regulations. We’ll let you know exactly what is needed before moving forward.
What if I need equipment while waiting for insurance approval?
Our short-term rental options can help bridge the gap while you wait for prior authorization, insurance approval, or delivery from another provider. This allows you to get needed support without committing to a full purchase.
How do I know whether renting or purchasing is the better option?
Renting may make more sense for temporary recovery, visiting family members, travel, or while waiting for long-term equipment. Purchasing is often more cost-effective for ongoing needs. We’ll help you compare the options without pressuring you toward either one.
Does 1st Alliance accept insurance for medical equipment?
We are launching as a private-pay medical equipment provider and do not currently bill Medicaid, Medicare, or commercial insurance. This allows customers, caregivers, and organizations to obtain available equipment without waiting for insurance authorization. Insurance billing may be added as 1st Alliance expands.
How is rental equipment cleaned and prepared between customers?
Every returned rental item is inspected, cleaned, and disinfected before it is made available again. Equipment must meet our condition and safety standards before being released to another customer.
What happens if the equipment does not meet my needs or my condition changes?
Contact us as soon as possible. Depending on equipment availability and the terms of your rental or purchase, we’ll help determine whether an exchange, different size, alternative product, or updated rental arrangement would better support your needs.
